A:
A. There is no customer mapping in our devices with built-in templates - B603x.
The templates (the mappings) are built-in. We encourage customers to indicate what Modbus meter they are trying to support, and we can quickly respond with existing support (or whether it is easy/economical to add).
B. Our products are based on Modbus RTU (intrinsic multidrop support for up to four [4] Modbus devices). C. We do not support RS232 point to point Modbus ASCII off the shelf. We can build a special version for volume orders for Modbus ASCII point to point. D. Devices to which our modules can connect directly one to one via 3.3V TTL need only RX and TX (and can omit flow control), BUT they must decipher/understand the Modbus RTU bitstream NOT Modbus ASCII bitstream. E. Customers who desire to do their own loading/mapping can use our devices with loadable templates - B613x. F. Tools which run under Windows are provided with our full B613x box product (the B6130 product acts as development kit). The tool can be bought independently - for the price of the full box product. The tool is bound to ONE instance of the hardware for creating a loadable image. After creation, the images may be freely loaded to licensed modules. BUT we often recommend that we engineer loadable templates here at Cimetrics, to take into consideration BACnet and Modbus best practices in the mappings. For such engineering we ask for a public Modbus mapping document and customarily a Modbus device/unit to test with and archive (for future support). G. We offer volume discounts at 10, 100, 1000, etc. units. H. We are preparing to offer B6x33 units which are B6x30 with BACnet/IP replaced with BACnet MSTP. We are preparing to offer B6x34 modules which are B6x31 with BACnet/IP replaced with BACnet MSTP.
