The new version 7 of Cimetrics BACnet Explorer allows you to transfer files to or from a BACnet Device using BACnet File Access Services. This feature is available in the premium version. Please note you can only transfer files using Stream File-access-method. The new version also comes with an updated BACstac and additional writable properties so you can write to many more properties than before.
BACnet Standard provides the capability to read, write, upload and download files if the device has a file object. File object allows read and write access to data files supported by the device.
In order to read and manipulate files in BACnet devices, File Access Services in BACnet are used. In BACnet, files represent group of bytes of arbitrary length and meaning; they do not necessarily relate to any kind of mass storage device. Every BACnet-accessible file has a File Object associated with it.
The new Explorer also gives the user the ability to start and stop BACstac Service when the BACnet Explorer starts or exits.
