The B3075 is a second-generation BACnet/IP to BACnet/IP router that enables BACnet communication between two physically separate IP networks (Private network and the Customer’s IT network).
It is designed to meet the requirements of demanding customers with a large number of BACnet/IP devices. It includes new management, diagnostics, and remote message logging functionality that can be selectively enabled. Based on the Cimetrics BACstacTM, this standalone router can reliably process a high volume of network traffic.
When would you need B3075?
- When IT is unwilling to provide all the IP addresses required for a project.
- When the integrator wants to control the assignment of IP addresses of the BACnet/IP devices.
- Increasingly strict IT requirements: IT may not want certain BACnet/IP devices connected to the IT-managed network (for example, devices that don’t support DHCP).
- IT may not allow UL864 switches or Ethernet ring networks (daisy chained and ring devices) to directly connect to IT-managed network switches.
