Best Practices Guide: Predictive Maintenance Using Automatic Fault Detection and Diagnostics

Our Senior Analyst Julianne Rhoads authored a guide on predictive maintenance as a part of I2SL Best Practices collection. These Best Practice Guides provide information on the design, construction, and operation of technologies that contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability in laboratories.

The Predictive Maintenance Using Automatic Fault Detection and Diagnostics guide shows how the big data analytics revolution has enabled true predictive maintenance on a large scale. Users of predictive maintenance analytics can now reap the benefits of operating cost savings, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, increased reliability, prolonged equipment life, and reduced risk of process disruptions.

Learn how to get the most out of Cimetrics Analytika to create safe, reliable, energy-efficient buildings

This month's Analytika Users Forum focused on Analytika Utility Manager for meter monitoring, analysis, and reporting. The Cimetrics team shared our energy use tracking visualizations and the consumption & cost summary reports, and demonstrated the process for meter device validation & troubleshooting. Attendees shared their experience using the Utility Manager for demand response, in support of the ISO50001 standard, and for decision-making for sustainable development. We discussed Ciemtrics' ability to connect to multiple metering systems and data sources with varying intervals, and the timeliness afforded by Analytika's automatic data conditioning.
