Cimetrics introduces a Continuous Commissioning Service called "Infometrics"

Dallas, TX., March 21, 2005 - Cimetrics Inc., the premier supplier of communication technology to the building automation industry, today announced Infometrics, a portfolio-wide building systems analysis and reporting service.

Long known as a pioneer in open system communication for building automation, Cimetrics was instrumental in developing and promoting BACnet (ASHRAE/ANSI Standard 135; EN ISO 16484-5), the world standard network protocol for building automation. Leveraging the depth of their experience in Internet-enabled device networking, Cimetrics has anticipated the explosion of the pervasive internet by developing cutting-edge products for enhancing connectivity in automated building systems.

The company consists of two divisions: Products, developing solutions for building controls contractors and manufacturers; and Infometrics Services, offering building owners long-term data collection, remote monitoring, and reporting for building systems optimization.

Newly announced in the Products division is the launch of the Native IP series, using XML Web Services to connect building systems with local IT infrastructures to enable direct control and/or monitoring of facilities by Enterprise software. One application of these products is the ability to connect facility data such as energy usage or lighting control into business portal software for use by accountants or centralized facility management.

Other solutions within the Products division include software tools for installing and diagnosing facility communications, routers and gateways for connecting different systems within a building to each other or to the Internet, and OEM software and hardware which can be used by manufacturers of building equipment. One of the innovative solutions being offered is the "LC3020 - System on a Chip" which offers the two most popular Building Automation protocols on one IC chip together with a powerful set of features including a built-in Ethernet controller.

The services side of the company today announced the roll-out of its Infometrics program for enterprise-wide continuous commissioning through remote data collection, analysis, and issue reporting. Among the most innovative machine-to-machine offerings to date in the building automation industry, the Infometrics solution enables building system optimization and long-term savings. Data are collected over a long period of time from dynamic and static points, then securely transmitted over the Internet for expert analysis by engineers using Cimetrics knowledge-based algorithms. Unbiased, customized optimization recommendations enable building owners to enjoy the benefits of continuous commissioning: energy savings, proactive maintenance, prevention of downtime, aggregation of information enterprise-wide, and optimal resource allocation.

Cimetrics has also announced a strategic alliance with Siemens Building Technologies to provide customers with the industry's most comprehensive facility data analysis and optimization service, featuring "next generation" building performance analysis technology.

Cimetrics expects further cutting-edge product releases this year. "In the coming months, Cimetrics looks forward to launching additional leading-edge technology that will allow us to turn data into even more value for building owners," says James Lee, founder and CEO of Cimetrics.
