What are the MS/TP Parameters under MS/TP Settings?
Answer
The MS/TP Settings page has the following parameters that need to be configured
- Baud Rate
The router supports baud rates of 9600, 19200, 38400, and 76800. Choose the appropriate baud rate suited for your network.
- MAC
Once connected, the router will become a node on the MS/TP network and hence needs a unique MAC address. NOTE: This MAC is a unique BACnet MS/TP address, this is NOT an Ethernet MAC address.
- Max Info Frames
This is the number of frames a node may send before passing on the token. We recommend that you leave this at the default value of 1.
- Max Master
This indicates the maximum number of Masters that can be available on an MS/TP Network. The default is the highest at 127.
- Reply Timeout
This is the maximum amount of time this node will wait for a station to reply to its confirmed request (255 - 300 milliseconds). We recommend that you leave this at the default value of 255.
- Usage Timeout
This is the maximum time that a node must wait for a remote node to begin using a token for replying to a Poll for Master frame (20-100 milliseconds). We recommend that you leave this at the default value of 20.
- DNET
This is the MS/TP network number to which the router is being connected. Change this according to your MS/TP network.
