As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Butler provides technical oversight of Cimetrics’ R&D activities and consulting services. Butler began work for Cimetrics in 1990 as a contractor, later joining the company as Director of Software Engineering. He was the primary designer of the 9-Bit Solution Network Software, and he has been actively involved in the development of the BACnet® network protocol for more than fifteen years. Butler organized the BACnet Testing Laboratories and served as its manager for six years. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
