Yes. The demo version can be used to connect to different BACnet devices and also an OPC Client. The Cimetrics BACnet OPC Server polls BACnet Data from BACnet servers on a BACnet network and makes it available for OPC clients as OPC Tags. With the demo version in hand, you will be able to configure an experimental set up even though you may not have a BACnet server running on the network. In order to demonstrate this, please follow the below instructions,

1) Start the OPC Server

2) Start the "Temperature pseudo device server" by going to start | Programs | Cimetrics and this will start a pseudo BACnet server.

3) Now on the OPC server if you do a File | Download from Network, you will be able to see this pseudo device running on the network, populate it and poll it to get data. The data is now available for an OPC Client.

4) To demonstrate how the OPC Client can get the data from the OPC Server you could go to Start | Programs| Cimetrics | OPC Client. You have to have the OPC Server in Monitor mode (View | uncheck Parametric mode and check Monitor mode) in order to browse to the BACnet device and poll a desired property.
